Surface Coating
SmCo magnets are less likely to have coatings compared to some other types of magnets. This is mainly due to several reasons.
Firstly, SmCo magnets have excellent corrosion resistance on their own. The chemical composition of SmCo magnets makes them relatively stable and less prone to corrosion even without a coating.
Secondly, applying coatings to SmCo magnets can sometimes affect their magnetic properties. Since these magnets are known for their high-performance magnetic characteristics, any additional layer might interfere with the magnetic field and reduce the overall effectiveness.
Additionally, the cost and complexity of applying coatings might not be justified considering the already good durability and performance of SmCo magnets without coatings.
